CARIBBEAN COUNCIL FOR THE BLIND 44th Anniversary Meeting

The meetings will review the performance of CCB and its members and partners over the past two (2) years. Special attention will be placed on the implementation (across the Caribbean) of :
•Vision 2020: The Right To Sight
•The Global Education for All Initiative, with special emphasis on children with visual impairments, (EFA-VI)
•The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD)

a.     Opening Ceremony & Presentation of the

b.     James Alves Awards (p.m.)

 

4.     Friday July 29th – Plenary Sessions (a.m.)

a.     Meetings of Zones (p.m)

 

5.     Saturday July 30th – Business Sessions – Biennial General

a.     Meeting including Election of Officers

b.     Cultural Event, organised by Host Member Organisation(s) to include:

                                          i.    Impromptu entertainment by Delegates

                                         ii.    Entertainment by Artistes who are blind or have other disabilities

c.     Trinidadian cuisine

 

6.       Sunday July 31st – Departure of Delegates
