Officers and Members of the Executive Committee – CCB 2011

In keeping with the provisions of its Constitution, the Caribbean Council for the Blind (CCB) conducted elections for a new Executive Committee during its 2011 Biennial and 44th Anniversary Meeting held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad & Tobago on Saturday July 30th, 2011. The following persons were elected to the Executive Committee and will serve until the next Annual Meeting of CCB.

THE CARIBBEAN COUNCIL FOR THE BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED (CCB) EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, ELECTION PROCEDURE, TRUSTEES, SECRETARIAT/EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR CHAPTER X: EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE   Article XXVII The affairs of the Council shall be administered by the Executive Committee, the members of which shall meet not less than twice per year, for this purpose, or as often as the interests of the Council shall demand, provided that one month’s notice is given to such member prior to the holding of such a meeting.

CCB General Meeting

THE CARIBBEAN COUNCIL FOR THE BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED (CCB)  CHAPTER VII:  GENERAL MEETING  Article XV The General Meeting is the supreme decision-making body of the Council. While its business includes all categories of membership, its decision-making powers rest only with the one vote from each Organisational Member.

CARIBBEAN COUNCIL FOR THE BLIND MEMBERSHIP: – CATEGORIES, QUALIFICATION, APPLICATION, ADMISSION, SUCCESSION, SUSPENSION AND EXPULSION.   The Caribbean Region: For the purpose of the Constitution, the region shall include countries and territories situated in the Caribbean Sea and the Bahamas, Bermuda, Belize, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana.
